For the love of blogs - episode 11
Ho ho ho and welcome to the final blog of 2024 – go on admit it you all thought (well hoped) it was the last blog ever, sorry not happening!!! I just wanted to keep you all informed of what Castleford Training Solutions have been up to before we all get ready to enjoy the festivities.
Right down to business and after having numerous discussions between Shaun aka “Da Boss”, Nathan “the geek” and myself “she who shall be obeyed”, came to the decision that we really needed to employ someone who can help with SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and help us to have a higher ranking when searching for courses run by CTS on the “tinterweb”. We opted to employ a digital online marketing company based in Gloucester called Juvenate Media and hopefully we will be seeing the results in the early part of next year.
We also ran our first “Understanding Life-Saving Medication” CPD course a couple of weeks ago and it was warmly received. Harry was fantastic as always at explaining things in such a way that was both easy to understand and to then put into practice. The practical side of the course involved learning how to draw up different medications and then how to administer them. The medications used in this course are an absolute fortune thanks to Qualsafe and consist of talcum powder and saline all made to look like the real thing – real medication would have been far cheaper and more fun – only kidding!!! This course is quite intensive, but it is certainly worth attending and counts towards CPD hours. We are holding another one of these courses in February and there are more details about this course and others we have to offer throughout 2025 on the website www.castlefordtrainingsolutions.co.uk
We also have been busy covering many medical shifts from Snooker to Anton Du Beke to Jimmy Carr in the run up to Christmas with the last one being The Snowman which took place a couple of days ago. We now have a break from working these shifts for the next three weeks which I must admit will be nice although I will have to compete with the dog to get a place on the sofa at night!!!
We also had a CTS Christmas fuddle in York with family, friends and not forgetting Harry which resulted in a trip to York Christmas Market on Saturday teatime. No expense was spared and involved a drink as well as pie, mash and gravy followed by a festive hot chocolate – we like to treat our colleagues well!!! It was also Nathan’s birthday too which made it even more special. Can I just say how “flipping freezing” it was and how it cost us a fortune courtesy of the girls who now have expensive taste in shoes (I guess I taught them well – handbags next) but so worth it and it was a lovely way to round off what has been the best year for CTS. I just want to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to everyone who is part of the CTS family and for all the challenging work that is put in day after day, week after week. You know who you are, and we could not do this without you.
Right, that about wraps up my final blog …. for 2024. I just need to add a few finishing touches to the decorations in the house as I personally think you can never have too many gonks and last count was somewhere around twenty or was it thirty…. Anyway, it does not matter as one of our daughter’s says you have to “give a gonk a home” – I overdid that but who cares its Christmas.
I just want to take this opportunity to personally wish all one of my readers a happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year and in the words of Arnie – “I’ll be back.”
Si’thi’ later
