For the love of blogs - episode 2

Well, I thought it was time to write another blog after the success of my last one (I know I am slowly becoming a blogging genius) and to share what has been happening in the world of Castleford Training Solutions (CTS).

Here goes……..

I can’t quite believe it has been 3 weeks since my last update and there have been many exciting things that have happened at CTS empire. Shaun delivered a 3-day First Aid at Work course at probably one of the coldest places on earth, a warehouse in Worksop!!! There were 4 very hardy souls who started and amazingly completed the course and were very proficient in dealing with hypothermia by the end of it. Then unfortunately Shaun contracted “man flu” after his arctic experience and the car came out in sympathy by getting a puncture – which was a real let down, literally.

“Man flu” sadly lasted for 2 weeks but it still didn’t stop him working completely, and he has been steadily working on finalising the next part of the Understanding ECG’s Part 2 course with Harry, our Paramedic trainer. This is now another course added to our CPD portfolio of courses. The next one in the range is looking at the respiratory system which also involves dissection of a lamb’s airway/lungs…..one not to be missed and more details will follow, hopefully in the next episode.

A thank you goes out to Stuart, one of our trainers, who stepped in at the last minute to deliver some first aid training for one of our valued clients. Whilst James, aka Fireman Sam, and myself were busy completing the final days of our FREC 4 course which we successfully passed, I just need to complete the 3 workbooks – oh what joy and yet more homework, worse than being at school!!!

Speaking of the people that help to make CTS the success it is, we would like to welcome Lewis. For some strange reason he loves chaos, as he works at a local high school, and has agreed to join us working towards being one of our trainers. Welcome aboard Lewis – your life is never going to be the same again!!!

This upcoming week involves Shaun delivering a couple of days training to Gas Fitters at a posh hotel in York – makes a change from a freezing warehouse. I did kindly offer to carry his bags but for some strange reason he declined and reminded me I still have homework to do. He has also a couple of FREC 3 & FREC 3 requalification courses starting over the next couple of weeks so he is a very busy bee at the moment.

Right onto the boring bit, we have decided to highlight a different course at the end of each episode. It is a vain attempt to satisfy Search Engine Optimisation (SEO for those who are a geek). Please feel free to carry on reading if you are in desperate need of something to help send you to sleep!!!

This episode’s highlighted course is a Pre-Hospital care course, First Response in Emergency Care Level 3 or better known as FREC 3.  FREC 3 is a higher level course than First Aid at Work, having said that there are no set requirements needed to do this course other than to be sweet 17 years old on the first day the course commences. CTS may not be the biggest FREC3 supplier in West Yorkshire, however, if you read our Google and Trust Pilot reviews, you will hopefully realise that our trainers are deeply passionate about making sure the content is delivered in such a way that it suits all learners of all abilities. The FREC 3 course is vastly becoming the industry standard for anyone who wants to venture into the world of being a medic/first responder. So why not chose CTS to start your journey – who knows we may be able to put you in touch with a company to help you put your new found skills into practice. As with all our more expensive courses, we offer several payment options which can include help to share the cost over a fixed term period.

If you are still awake after reading this – well done. If not then don’t worry I forgive you. Now what to write for episode 3??????

Ta Tah for now

Jen
