For the love of blogs - episode 8
Good day to you all and here is another exciting episode of my amazing blog. Wow, episode eight already how time flies when you are having fun – allegedly!!! After spending a wonderful week in Germany and a further three days in Paris it is sadly back to reality. We did not meet Mickey and Minnie in person, but we still had a fabulous time. We did however pick up a couple of stowaways in the form of Stitch and Angel – they could be the new mascots for CTS, watch this space!!!
Right onto business and what we have been working on over the last few weeks. Shaun has been busy delivering a wide range of courses to various loyal customers including Basic Life Support & Medications to Emergency First Aid at Work, Level 2 & 3 First Aid for Mental Health both in a classroom setting and over Zoom to Autism & Dementia. The Autism & Dementia course was delivered for the first time combined and was received well by the learners. This course concentrates on learner participation and is designed to help an individual better understand and be able to support/help someone living with either of these conditions.
We have also been busy covering numerous medic shifts, everything from Lord of The Dance to Graduations to famous comedians Ben Elton and John Bishop (who I can confirm is a lovely gentleman).
Now everyone loves the chance to win a freebie so we (that is the royal we) have devised a cunning plan – what is this cunning plan I hear you cry. To improve our digital online presence, basically we need to rank higher on Google so potential customers can find us more easily. More importantly, we want to hear what our customers think about the service and quality of training we provide and where we can make improvements. So, we have created QR codes, I know very twenty-first century, and printed them double-sided onto an ID card. The QR code can be scanned, and all our lovely customers can write us a “nice” review on both Google and Trustpilot before they leave the course. Plus, if they complete both reviews their name is put into a hat and drawn out at the end of the month to win a ……… £25 Amazon gift card. Wooooooo, I hear you cry!!! Our first winner was drawn last week for the August draw and received their special gift. Remember you have got to be in it to win it!!!
In my previous blog, I mentioned the latest course we were working on was Understanding Medication Administration. We are still working on this course and it will be discussed in a future blog.
Instead, this week’s highlighted course is Understanding Catastrophic Bleed. This course teachers the learner the theory and practical side of catastrophic bleed, the latest products available on the market, how, and when to use them as well as unusual items that can be used to potentially save a person’s life. It also involves my tremendous acting skills as part of a real-life casualty scene with bleeding wounds as well as Robbie, Bobbie, and Andy. If you want to know who they are, then you need to book a place onto this informative course, and all will be revealed. This course counts towards CPD hours and takes place at our training room near Leeds on Saturday 12th October 2024. Places are still available, please check our website for more information. Plus, you get to see how much I suffer for my art!!!!
Anyway, I think I have bored everyone now and I need to get on with some other more exciting work for once, and for a change it’s not my FREC 4 workbooks. Amazingly they have been completed and have just been submitted for marking – it’s like being back at school. I am just waiting for the comment “see me” and then I know I am back at school. I will keep all one of my eager readers informed if I have passed and received my gold star!!!
Arrivederci for now
